Fire Safety Week
Grade: 2
Capacity: 2 classes per session
Program Time: October 6 - 10, 2008
Location: Fire Barn Museum
The City of Muskegon Fire Department and the Muskegon County Museum present a Fire Safety Education program each fall during Fire Prevention Week. This program is offered free and is available to schools within the city.

Michigan Indian Culture Days
Grades: 3-5
Capacity: 9 classes per day
Program Time: November 3 - 7, 2008 
Program Overview:
Michigan Indian Culture Days is a program designed to help preserve and capture American Indian Culture in Muskegon County.  The purpose of this program is to help Muskegon County students understand and appreciate another culture through the combined partnership of the Muskegon County Museum, various volunteers, and teachers who are willing to educate students in the value of diversity.

Teachers and students will be participating in different stations during the program.  These students will allow participants to immerse themselves in three current aspects of Native American life: powwow dancing, the oral tradition of storytelling, and arts and crafts.

Enviroworks
Grades: K-6
Capacity: 30 participants per session
Enviroworks is a one-week camp that targets elementary school level children and challenges them to explore their environment. It is conducted weekdays from 9 a.m. to Noon, during the last two full weeks of July.  Registration beings May 30, 2008.
