How to donate an artifact:
The Lakeshore Museum Center is happy to consider items for donation to the collection.
We collect artifacts and archival material pertaining to Muskegon County.
Please feel free to contact our Registrar with a description of the artifact or archival material you would like us to consider. If possible, we would also like a picture of the item. We are not able to offer any kind of appraisal services.
We have limited storage space for objects under consideration, so please contact us before bringing an item in. Our collections staff will be glad to take detailed information via email or phone in order to start the process of assessing the potential donation.
All objects left at the Museum for consideration must be accompanied by a Lakeshore Museum Center Donation Form. The Museum cannot accept materials for consideration without a signed Donation Form and donor contact information.
By signing the Donation Form, the donor attests that they are the legal owner of the objects and have the authority to transfer ownership of the objects. We are not able to consider donations on behalf of a third party.
